Hydrocarbon refrigerants on stage for existing air-conditioning will be phased out

September 16th was the 15th "International Day for Protecting Ozone Layer." The protection of the ozone layer has attracted the attention of all sectors of the society. Wen Wurui, director of the Environmental Protection Center for Environmental Protection of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, said recently that China is researching the use of new environmentally friendly hydrocarbons as refrigerants. Air conditioning will be phased out.

This statement, no doubt, poured cold water for air-conditioning refrigerant users, but it brought great encouragement to the carbon-hydrogen refrigerant industry that is struggling in the marginal line. The transformation of refrigerants will drive the upgrading of the air-conditioning sector. Behind it is a huge economic output value and investment value.

It is reported that hydrocarbons are significantly lower than those of hydrofluorocarbons. Hydrocarbons have greater advantages over hydrofluorocarbons in terms of water solubility, condensation pressure, and other manufacturing costs. It is an efficient, energy-saving and environment-friendly hydrocarbon refrigerant and is the ultimate substitute for CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants. Carbon-hydrogen refrigerants have been widely used in many countries in Europe, America and Asia.

Under the general trend of promoting environmental protection in the entire society, the air-conditioning industry is an inevitable path toward environmental protection, and the transformation of refrigerants will undoubtedly be a powerful “engine” for hydrocarbon refrigerants to “spring”.
