[ China Instrument Network Instrument R&D ] Recently, the national key research and development plan "Earth Observation and Navigation" key project "Static Orbit High Resolution Light Imaging Camera System Technology" project passed the mid-term inspection in Changchun, Jilin.

On February 19, 2016, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued a notice of 10 key special projects such as “Earth Observation and Navigation” in 2016. The special project focuses on the new mechanism, the new system, advanced remote sensing technology, space radiation measurement benchmark and transmission calibration technology, and high-performance air and space integrated network monitoring system technology. A total of 45 key tasks are deployed, with an implementation period of 5 years. Among them, the geostationary orbit high-resolution light imaging camera system technology is listed as a key technology project.
The research content of the high-resolution light-weight imaging camera system technology of the geostationary orbit is mainly: the static orbit optical camera with a resolution of not less than 2.5m for various regional monitoring tasks requiring high spatial resolution and high-time observation capability. System technology research, including the overall technology of the geostationary orbit space light camera system based on the integration of heaven and earth, camera adaptive optical detection and control technology, stationary orbit high-resolution camera image stabilization technology; complete the development of full-scale ground principle prototype, The key technologies are used for ground test verification, providing technical support for the development of geostationary orbit high-resolution optical satellites, serving the needs of major applications such as high-resolution land and sea safety monitoring and sudden disaster detection in China.
After more than two years of research and development, more than 30 people from the inspection team experts and project leaders of the key special expert group experts and peer experts, and the research backbone of the project participants and key special management offices conducted a mid-term inspection of the project.
This inspection uses a combination of meeting and on-site inspection. At the meeting, the special office introduced the contents, requirements and inspection procedures of the mid-term inspection, and put forward specific requirements for the performance of the duties of the experts. The project leader, Professor Zhang Xuejun, reported the progress of the project and the results of the project to the expert group. At the same time, the project organization management, condition guarantee and the next phase work plan were introduced.
The evaluation index of the high-speed light-imaging camera system technology of the geostationary orbit is to realize the full-color ground imaging with a spatial resolution of not less than 2.5m in the stationary orbit and the multi-spectral in-situ imaging with a resolution of not less than 5m, realizing the single frame width. The imaging quality MTF × SNR is better than 5, not less than 100 km × 100 km.
At present, the project has completed the design of camera imaging technology system demonstration, project implementation plan, full-scale principle prototype and scale reduction verification system; it has broken through the key technologies of high-precision super-large aperture aspheric mirror full-band error uniform convergence processing detection. The development of a 3m-order space mirror blank and a large-scale CMOS detector engineering piece, as well as a common phase principle development platform and an image super-resolution special test platform were completed. The world's largest single SiC space mirror developed by the project has a light weight of 75% and an areal density of less than 90kg/m2, which is only 50% of the Hubble primary mirror.
After listening to the report and watching the hardware and system demonstrations on the spot, the expert group agreed that the project completed the medium-term objectives and tasks specified in the mission book, met the requirements for the mid-term assessment, and agreed to pass the mid-term inspection. At the same time, it is recommended to pay attention to the development of the comprehensive aperture common-phase imaging part, speed up the integration work of the scale-down prototype, and find and solve the imaging quality risk such as potential clutter crosstalk as early as possible.
