It is an important tool for measuring the amount of thermal migration in the heat transfer process and evaluating the heat transfer performance.

At present, domestic institutions often use them for heat conduction tests, such as various industrial furnaces, heat transfer pipes, buildings, cold storage, textiles and clothing, personnel transportation tools (passengers, passenger ships, passenger aircraft, etc.), and greenhouses, etc. Geothermal and soil heat flow testing and manufacturing heat flow method thermal conductivity test equipment and so on.
After the heat flow meter is used for a period of time (usually about one year), the necessary recalibration should be performed to ensure the accuracy of its measurement. In particular, the heat flow sensor must be calibrated before leaving the factory or after a certain period of use. When the heat flow sensor is used, it is often affixed on the measured object and surface or buried inside the measured object. This will affect the original heat transfer condition of the measured object. In order to have an accurate estimate of this effect, it must be known. The thermal resistance of the heat flow sensor itself is also determined during the calibration process. With the increasingly severe national energy-saving emission reduction, a large number of quality inspection laboratories in China have used heat flow meters and related products in large quantities, but they have encountered problems that are not traceable.
Members of the project development team first conducted investigations and studies on domestic companies producing conductive heat flow meters, studied the technical indicators of the main domestic conductive heat flow meters, and collected all kinds of standard procedures for the production and testing of conductive heat flow meters at home and abroad. And specifications, combing all kinds of testing parameters, the technical requirements and technical indicators of the conduction heat flow meter are discussed. Then, members of the research team went to the domestic companies that produced conductive heat flow meters and conducted investigations. They conducted investigations and analysis of the conductive heat flow meters they produced. Through investigations and exchanges with production personnel, they obtained the development of conductive heat flow meters. A large number of valuable opinions and suggestions laid the foundation for the completion of the project.
Thanks to the continuous efforts of the relevant members of the research group, the self-developed conduction heat flow meter calibration device of Liaoning Metrology Institute was finally successful. It is mainly composed of microcomputer automatic control system, metering heating unit, protective heating unit, back protection unit, cold plate unit, external protection unit (insulation system), measurement system, hot plate lifting system, displacement detection system and refrigeration system .
The successful implementation of the calibration device solves the problem that the conduction type heat flow meter cannot be traced, and lays a foundation for the promotion and application of the conduction type heat flow meter.
