Toyota's global auto production will reach 7.169 million units in 2011

Due to the impact of the “3.11” earthquake, the supply of auto parts was insufficient. The Toyota plant’s domestic plant operating rate in May was only 50%, and in April and May, it was reduced by 350,000 units. However, with the recovery of the affected parts and components factories better than expected, it is expected that the operating rate will return to about 90% in June, and it is expected to be normal in August and it is expected to increase production in September. Overseas, the Toyota Thailand factory has resumed normal production in May, and China and European factories are expected to be normal by the end of June. The US factory is expected to start normal work during the year. Due to accelerated recovery of parts supply, Toyota's global production in 2011 (including Daihatsu and Hino) is expected to be equal to last year (7.169 million units). Toyota recently proposed a new production plan to parts suppliers.
